  • On a completely unrelated note..

So I figured I should state a few things in relation to my entry from two days ago – (this one -> clicky clicky )

I believe that i sounded kinda arrogant.  Since it was pointed out to me by two people (ricdon, and my (now ex-) “friend” Jared..

Here’s a correction on some of the things I said there, and reasons for why I said some of the other things::

It’s currently the off-season where I work, meaning there is very little work to be done, especially for me.  Which is why I rarely work long hours, and randomly decided to skip (about three) days here and there.  In the race season, I take my job seriously, show up on time, work overtime constantly, and help out as much as they need me.  Don’t think that I’m “out of line” for what I say I do now… Because it’s the slow season, I am able to do these things.. And since I wanna get as much time off as I can before the race season starts.. That’s what I’ve been doing.  Hope that clears up that.

Thing two:  The fact that I don’t consider the sous-chef my boss is in fact, not because I’m an arrogant dick.. (I’m only a little full of myself, sometimes.. But not often… lol)  I do respect the fact that he’s done a pretty awesome job being put on the spot when the chef threw out his back.  I just don’t consider him qualified or anything to be my boss.  So I don’t consider him as such.  I still do the things he asks, and it’s not like I make a huge thing out of having him “above” me, cuz hell.. I wouldn’t wanna do that job. lol.  I just don’t think that checking in with him before I do things is necessary, as long as I get what I need to do done.   I never acted out of line or whatever at work.

And the main reason I even said anything about it, is because of personal issues between us.  They never surfaced at work, we were able to maintain a professional relationship, whatever we thought stayed in our heads.  I said it on here, because i felt like saying it, since this isn’t work, or work-related, it’s my blog and I can pretty much say what I want, y’know, the whole free speech thing and all.  If he’d been mature with me with the issue we’d been dealing with outside of work, I’d have had no reason to say any of the things I did.  Sure, that’s not very mature on my part either, but hey.. It’s my blog and I do what I want.  :P

That’s about all I really wanted to say i guess.  What I have learned from all this is something that I always say, but never actually DO… If there’s a problem, you should deal with it face to face, rather than pretending it’s not there.  If I’d gone to talk to him in the first place, none of this would have happened.  We might even still be friends, but who really knows about that.

The other thing I want to point out as a life lesson to anyone.. it’s one I like to live by, and point out all the time to people who repeatedly do dumb shit that annoys people or disappoints them..  and then apologize for it constantly::

Don’t be sorry.  Just don’t do it.

  • Ahh, I get you now.

Never knew you had on/off seasons meh then do what you like, we all like the odd bit of freedom when its easy, I know I do! lol

  • @ricdon -

Haha yep, thanks for being honest, but I figured I should point out how the situation actually is at work so you didn’t think I’m just totally full of myself and suck at my job. :P

  • @Lunaki -

I would never think you’d suck at your job at all :)

As for being honest, anytime! lol

  • Based on some of those cakes you used to bring home, one would have to disagree with the sucking at the job part XD. I miss those cakes

  • Wow, so much tension. The only reasonable way to break that is with Sushi Cat.

  • @SirSamurai -

haha thanks. :3 I’d make cake for you again if you visited. :P

  • @JGonspy -

That game is strangely addictive… o_o And the music is fun to improvise to :P

  • Just getting to hang out with you again would be more than enough incentive, but the addition of cake as well? I gotta get a credit card back XD

  • @SirSamurai -

U has no moar credit card? probably for the best since you didn’t even know where most of your charges came from.. XD

  • I’m assuming as much. I got that text from you several months ago that said I didnt. But either way, whether they had cancelled it or not, it would have expired in December anyway XD. Its mostly paid off now though, so I should be able to get a new one soon, its more a matter of if I want to. Its usually simple enough to just get someone else to buy my ticket and just pay them back in cash =p
